Since our founding more than 30 years ago, Chemtech Plastics has been a major supplier of precision injection molded components for the automotive industry. We use AIAG documents as part of our workflow and consistently upgrade our molding equipment to the newest technologies available. In addition to a networked MRP system with data collection and reporting capabilities, we use lean manufacturing practices and sophisticated test and inspection methods. Our ISO 9001:2008 and TS 16949:2008 certified quality management program emphasizes defect prevention, reduction of variation and waste, and continuous improvement.
We are strong advocates of early supplier involvement. By collaborating early in the design stage, we help ensure the manufacturability of cost-effective components and assemblies. Our fully integrated APQP development process is supported by cross-functional teams with the right blend of expertise to ensure a successful launch of each program. We have a great deal of experience supporting our customers on the development of multi-shot molding, insert molding or overmolding, eliminating expensive and time-consuming assembly.
Our molding capabilities allow us to manufacture parts with close-tolerance specifications and superior quality esthetics. We apply automation strategies to ensure uniform, consistent results, and have extensive expertise with modern automotive plastics and composites that provide strength and resistance in interior, exterior, and under-the-hood applications. We produce components with Class A surfaces, such as PRNDL assemblies, decorative bezels, push buttons, climate control knobs, heater control panels, and more.
