All of us at Chemtech are excited about the new automation work cell that we’ve engineered for a new medical customer.  This new dedicated station combines the molding press, reel-to-reel stamping feeder, pick and place robot and six-station, rotary dial table to assemble and test over  750,000 assemblies a year of their state of the art device for minimally-invasive surgery.
Our customer’s growth in the market with this extraordinary product, required that they seek a new source who could manufacture it with improved efficiencies to meet the growing demand, while also improving in the quality level of it’s sophisticated design aspects.  Stamping singulation, sub-component loading, heat-stake assembly, and continuity testing are all part of the post-molding processes performed within this cell.

Molds are the most essential component of the molding process. Key to producing a quality product is good mold design and regular mold maintenance. Chemtech Plastics will design your mold to meet the exacting specifications of your part. We have an on-site tool room to maintain, modify and repair injection molds. Every mold is disassembled, cleaned, inspected and reassembled prior to every production run. This means little or no manufacturing downtime for repair and maintenance, ensuring quality parts that are shipped on-time.
   

Chemtech Plastics provides its customers with a full range of engineering support that includes part design assistance, material selection, mold design and development, mold flow analysis, sampling and R&D, and dedicated project management. Your project will receive special attention by assigning it to one of our industry-experienced Project Engineers who will work with you on the specific details of your project from design to delivery.

Our Engineering Team has over 150 years of combined industry experience and utilizes the latest in Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems, allowing us to maintain direct data communication with your Engineering Staff.

Chemtech Plastics supports and practices Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) facilitated by a cross-functional team consisting of, but not limited to, Quality, Engineering, Production and Purchasing. Each new customer program goes through the APQP process which consists of thorough review and evaluation of the program requirements, part and mold design, sampling process and production efficiency.

   
Chemtech Plastics specializes in precision injection molding of tight-tolerance components. We have a tremendous amount of experience and success in helping design and producing technical products for a variety of customers and markets utilizing all types of engineering-grade resins. We invest in the latest injection molding equipment to ensure the highest levels of productivity, efficiency and quality.

Each of our injection molding machines is equipped with a Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) module. The CIM system provides real-time process information to our production staff to ensure that a repeatable precision molding process is maintained.

Times change and so do technologies. Chemtech Plastics invests in the latest injection molding technologies to improve operating efficiencies, increase capabilities and to better serve our customers. At Chemtech Plastics, we operate an efficient, clean, modern facility utilizing the latest and most advanced equipment with a strong focus on automation.

Efficiencies are also gained through the use of a complete Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software called TMM, which is specifically designed for the plastics processing industry. TMM captures, coordinates and provides key operating data for all aspects of manufacturing, including scheduling, inventory management, costing, materials requirement planning and executive information systems.
